What Does the SkinPen^® Microneedling Process Entail?

The SkinPen^® microneedling process often takes less than an hour, depending on how many treatment areas are being targeted. A local anesthetic can be applied to minimize potential discomfort, then the SkinPen^® device is guided gently over the skin. Tiny needles create small channels which stimulate the body’s natural healing process and the production of new collagen and elastin. This process can lead to smoother and a more evenly toned skin surface, with results typically evident in a few days. Patients may notice temporary redness and swelling afterwards, though many are able to resume their normal daily routines right away.
