What Are the Benefits of a VI Peel®

By addressing common signs of aging, a VI Peel® can help improve the tone, texture, and clarity of your skin. This non-surgical treatment offers a range of both cosmetic and emotional benefits. A VI Peel® can:

  • Reduce age spots
  • Soften fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improve hyperpigmentation, melasma, and sun damage
  • Treat acne and minimize acne scars
  • Stimulate collagen production
  • Boost a patient’s self-esteem
  • Be performed in a single session

These advantages can create firmer and more youthful skin, helping patients feel more confident in their appearance. Suitable for numerous skin types, a VI Peel® also offers minimal downtime compared to deeper chemical peels.

How Is the VI Peel® Procedure Performed?

The VI Peel® procedure is often considered a quick and straightforward process. Initially, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed to remove any oils and prepare for the peel. The VI Peel® solution is then evenly applied to the targeted areas. You may experience a mild tingling sensation which usually subsides as the solution dries. The peel is left on the skin for several hours post-application. Specific aftercare instructions will then be provided, which typically include when to wash off the peel at home and how to care for your skin during the peeling process, which generally occurs over the following days.

What Does Recovery Entail Following a VI Peel®

Following a VI Peel®, it is highly important to protect your skin. Visible peeling often begins on the third day following treatment and your skin may feel tight right before peeling appears. When washing your face, use lukewarm water and avoid washcloths. When cleansing and washing your face, gently use your fingertips.

Common side effects during the recovery process are redness, dryness, and mild itching and stinging. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure, heat, and excessive sweating. Your skin will be extremely sensitive to UV light, so use sunscreen and other protective skin care products as directed. Do not pick at your skin while it is peeling and wear loose-fitting, cotton-based clothes on treatment areas. You can resume shaving and water-based activities such as swimming once the peeling process is complete. Exfoliating products can be used one week after that process is over and waxing can resume two weeks after.

How Much Does a VI Peel® Cost?

The cost of a VI Peel® typically ranges from $450 to $650. The overall pricing may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the area being treated and the type of peel being performed.
